Workshops

I run a number of different classes and workshops and my aim in these is to encourage others to enjoy exploring the qualities of using both willow and rush and to gain a deep sense of satisfaction from making.

There has been a lot written about ‘mindfulness’ and being ‘In the flow’ as a modern idea.

From cutting the rush and planting the willow, to finishing a woven object, one is reminded that being in the flow is a very ancient activity. It is not simply an aspirational notion, but a reality that can be experienced in the here and now, by using one’s hands to create.
